AELP is an association of electrical laboratories with power testing capabilities accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 located in Spain, that provides a forum for voluntary collaboration between the member laboratories and with other International testing organizations.

The aim of this association is the harmonised application of the Standards defining common guidelines for electrical tests. In AELP´s testing laboratories, type tests and development tests are performed for both foreign and domestic users and manufacturers of electrical power engineering equipment.

To this end, in 2012, Fundación para el Fomento de la Innovación industrial (FFII), Ormazabal Corporate Technolgy (OCT) and Tecnalia Research & Innovation, decided to establish this association, by providing it with their laboratories:
